Adopting Through Friends of Animals Rice County
Process
With the animal's best interest in mind, we look at each application and choose the one that we believe would be the best fit for that particular pet. This process can take up to two weeks depending on the number of applications and the adoptable pet's condition. Once you have been approved for adoption, the process goes very quickly and has a small amount of paperwork involved (transferring records and microchip information). We enroll each adoptable pet's microchip information so you don't have to!
Requirements
- Completed Adoption Application
- Approved Veterinary Reference
- Current pets spayed or neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations

We partner with the non-profit organization, Friends of Animals, Rice County in order to do all of our adoptions. The adoptable pets are located at Ark Veterinary Clinic (329 East Garfield in Sterling, KS), and funded by Friends of Animals. Due to limited resources and available boarding, we are only able to maintain a set number of both dogs and cats at any given time.
